Ben was funny always helpful. He picked me up at the Columbus airport a year ago. I had promised dinner and he said" We are going to Marysville for BBQ". We did to a little out of the way place I had never been to. AS we went home to Bobbie Seiter's he toured us over roads I did not recognize he laughed and said" I have you lost don't I" Indeed he did.
RIP Ben. My heart goes out to his family.

Memories of Ben bring back the Heinhold Hog Market days of Ben and my dad. I can still hear Ben clicking those metal tongs to alert the concession stand help at the NU Home Football games that he is coming in from the grill with more cooked hot dogs, burgers, and "dogs on steroids"(Ben's term for brats). Ben always made me smile with his light hearted manner. Our paths crossed many times over the years(decades). My deepest sympathy to Pam and their children/families, his siblings and their families. Ben: you have left the rest of us behind way too soon. You will be missed.

We are both sooo saddened to hear about “Big Ben” as we’ve always lovingly called him. His living good heart and genuine care for others was always so easily seen and felt. His boisterous belly-laugh would always make you feel better just to witness its effect on everyone! We know you’ll miss him terribly, but he lives on in you too. Take care of each other and please let others care for you too.

My heart is hurting. I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Ben and his family for many many years and have some wonderful memories. It was at their wedding that I met David. We have shared so many fun adventures. I pray for all his family and grandchildren. I know how important they all were to him. He will be greatly missed. Sending love, hugs and prayers.

I'm shocked like everyone else at the news of Ben. I always appreciated Ben's knowledge of livestock. It has become a forgotten talent. I'll never eat another brat at a NU game without thinking of my friend Ben. Rest in peace buddy.

Pam and family, We were so shocked to hear about Ben. He was one in a million. I especially remember standing in line to vote several years ago. Something went wrong with the machines and we had a little wait. He had me laughing so hard. It was a fond memory. Matt worked with him at Warner’s and always had such good things to say about Ben. You are all in our prayers💕

Dear Pam and family, My deepest sympathy for your loss of Ben. He was truly a special person. I remember when he shared with me that he wanted you to go to university and decide what was best for you, and yet he truly wanted you home...and the two of you together. Your partnership was very special. The few conversations that we had together when I was back in the States periodically, started up as if there had been no years between the chats. Ben was one in a million. I will be thinking of you and your family. Very sincerely yours, Lee Huffman

A soft-spoken, practical, intelligent man whose Christian virtues were shown daily in how he treated others. Ben’s treasures in this life were Pam, his children, and his grandchildren.
I am thankful he saw Paisley compete in the showmanship ring last month at the Richwood Fair. Also for her dad, Brook composed a moving testament to the unconditional love he gave to his family.
No matter where the extended family gathered, Ben would quietly move to the edge of the group and watch the joy on the faces of everyone. If he caught you smiling, his great smile lit up his face and would provide a sense of joy and peace to others.
Sincerely,
Dick and Pat Seiter

Will always remember the big smile and how he was so helpful to 4-H kids. But most of all his love of cooking and pulling pranks as while at a wild game supper, most had venison but he had a crock pot of groundhog meatballs! We all tried it and was so pleased as we loved it,well we kept bragging to everyone and finally he came over and said oh sorry I forgot to separate the words it was ground hog he said with a smile ! Burst my bubble !!! He will be missed and our thoughts and prayers go to the family

Ben always had lots of interesting stories and words of wisdom. His actions spoke louder than his words. He showed me how a husband should treat his wife, a father should raise his children, a grandpa should enjoy his grandkids and how all people should treat others. Thank you Ben for being a true gentleman. You will be missed by many.

I worked with Ben for 17 years at Marion Correctional. I will always remember his sense of humor. He was always playing jokes. The one he liked to do in the Spring was send someone to check the air on the tires of the bush-hog, (these are solid tires). They would be looking all over for a valve stem, and Ben would be in the background chuckling. His popcorn was the best and I make his crackers often. He will be missed.

I choose to remember Ben as we were growing up together. We were good friends who belonged to the same 4-h club. We didn’t have a care in the world but having fun and good friendships. I don’t have to tell you all the teasing Ben would send my way. We showed cattle and Ben was always up for a game go cards. I would like to share with you my memories of Ben’s mom and dad. They were true role models of what marriage and family were about. I always looked forward to 4-H meetings at their house. Your grandmother was a hard worker with a good sense of humor. Your grandpa Was also a gentle giant. Connie reminds me the most of Ben’s mom. Not just in looks but also in personality. Brenda and Ned shared all the good qualities of both their mom and dad. Ben reminded me the most of his dad. That I think is where he got that twinkle and crazy grin from. I am so sorry that Ben has passed at such a young age. My heart goes out to all of you.
