Mary  Ellen Foos

LARUE — Mary Ellen Foos, age 85, of LaRue, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Marion General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 2,1922, in Bowling Green Township, near LaRue, to the late Lester F. and Hazel (Retterer) Allen.
On Nov. 12,1941, she married Paul R. Foos and he died in August of 1997.
She is survived by one son, Stanley R. (Regina) Foos of Marion; three granddaughters, Monica A. (Brian) Roush of Green Camp, Maria L. (Brad) Sager of Prospect and Ellen Jo (Phil) Mueller of Hilliard; seven great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Brayden Roush, Alexa, Carter, and Harrison Sager and Anna and Claudia Mueller; one sister, Doris (John) Davis of Bellefontaine; and; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Allen of Canal Winchester and Maryann Allen of Marion. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jim, Sam, Bill, John and Don Allen.
Mary was owner/operator of Lea's Freez in LaRue for many years, before that, she was a secretary at the Ridgway Hatchery, and before that, was secretary at Commercial Freight. She was a member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, the J A M club of LaRue, the DAV Auxiliary of Kenton and the Elgin Athletic Boosters. She graduated from LaRue High School.
It was Mary's wish that there be no calling hours or public service. Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue is in charge of arrangements.
