Jocelyn Evans Lewis


Jocelyn Evans Lewis, 74, of Richwood, died Saturday evening, March 4,
2006, at the Sunbridge Care Center in Marion.
She was a graduate of Richwood High School, a homemaker and a loving
wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed collecting glassware and
antiques.
She was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Richwood, to the late Jay and Wilda Blake
Evans.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Lewis, whom she married Aug. 21,
1949, in Richwood; her children, David (Carol) Lewis and Debra Lewis of
Marion, and Steven (Ruth) Lewis of Raymond; her grandchildren, Kristen
Lewis of Anchorage, Sarah Lewis of Defiance, and Paul, Ben, Hannah and
Bethany Lewis of Raymond; sister and brothers, Nancy (Barney) Skidmore
of Fairborn, Roger (Roberta) Evans of near Richwood, and Darrell (Jean)
Evans of Reedy, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral
Home, Richwood, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.
with Pastor Wayne Evans officiating. Burial will be in Claibourne
Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Union County Fire &
EMS Association.
