Jimmy Ray Parker, 47, of Richwood, died early Monday morning, March 20,
2006, at the home of his loving aunt and uncle, Jim and Ruthie Parker of rural Bucyrus, after a battle with cancer. A 1978 graduate of North Union schools, he worked for Scioto Valley as an industrial cleaner. He was a former member of the Galion Moose, was an avid body builder, enjoyed mountain biking, and was a great sports fan - his favorites were North Union, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers He was born June 10, 1958, in Kenton, to Lovell R. and Ledora Orr Parker. Lovell and his wife Irma J. survive in Cleveland, Tenn. He was predeceased by his mother and a sister, Ruth Ann Parker. Mr. Parker also is survived by three children, Ashley M. (Ashley) Parker of Marion, and Evan Parker and Katie Parker, both of Bowling Green; and two brothers, Freddie A. (Valarie) Parker of Richwood, and Douglas R. (Sandy) Parker of Delaware. Memorial services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Simon Avelia will officiate, and private burial will be at Claibourne Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home at P.O.
