William A. Hedges


William A. Hedges, 67, of Johnstown, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Mount
Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.
He was a 1956 graduate of Prospect High School, a retired electrician, a
49-year member of the I.B.E.W. Local No. 683 and a member of the  Church
of the Ascension in Johnstown, Avery Lodge F & AM No. 493, Scottish Rite
Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine, Aladdin Shrine Band, O.E.S. Level
Chapter No. 109 and Columbus Historical Society.
He was predeceased by his father, Fred J. Hedges, his mother, Ruby L.
Clements Hedges and a brother, Dan Hedges.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deanna Tobey Hedges; a son, John
D. (Karen) Hedges of Pataskala; a daughter, Janice A. (Bruce) Fennig of
Chandler, Ariz.; granddaughters, Paige and Paulette Fennig; a brother,
Lyle J.  (Linda) Hedges of Mesa, Ariz.; and sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Phyllis and Ken Phelps of Morrisonville, N.Y.
Memorial services will take place Wednesday at noon at the Church of the
Ascension Catholic Church in Johnstown, with the Rev. J.L. Reichert officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital
for Children at 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229-3096 and/or the
Columbus Zoo, P.O. Box 400, Powell, OH 43065.
