Debbie Lynn Cox


Debbie Lynn Cox, 56, of Magnetic Springs, died Saturday evening, Dec. 30, 2006, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a 6 1/2 year battle with cancer.
A 1969 graduate of North Union High School, she was a homemaker and had worked at the post office in Magnetic Springs.
She enjoyed taking pictures and journalizing her photos. She enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains, her favorite vacation spot. She also enjoyed listening to southern gospel music, especially the Gaithers.
She had attended Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church.
She was born Dec. 21,1950, in Columbus, to the late Paul Edward and Barbara Jeanne Buell Burdett.
The true joy in her life was her devoted family, her loving and caring husband Scott A. Cox, whom she married Nov. 20, 1971, at Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church; their two daughters and their families, Jennifer Lynn (Dan) Michael of Richwood and their three children, Jacob, Lucas and Elisabeth, and Amy Nicole (Todd) Rees of Zanesfield and their son Micah; a brother, Ed (Shirley) Burdett of Radnor and daughters, Victoria, Renee` and Jessica; a sister, Kelly (Rob) Bushong of Magnetic Springs and sons, Ryan and Kristopher; a great-niece and -nephew, Hailey and Codi; and an aunt, Marie Masters of Columbus.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Richwood Church of Christ with the Rev. Scot Gorsuch officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Britt's Bunch, a local group that raises money for the American Cancer Society, in care of the Richwood Banking Company, 28 N. Franklin St., Richwood, OH 43344.
