John Harrison Stacy

MARION — John Harrison Stacy, age 74, of 199 Community Drive, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Community Healthcare Center in Marion.
He was born May 24, 1931, in Rowan County, Ky., to he late John J. and Fannie (Ratliff) Stacy. On March 11,1954, he married Vergie Ann Cooper and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Johnie Warner Stacy of Greenup, Ky., Billy Ray Stacy of Salt Point, N.Y., Michael Kerry Stacy, and Steven Douglas (Tracy) Stacy both of Marion; five daughters, Lauria Kathleen (Craig) Cornelius of Marion, Virginia Ann (Clarence) Friend of LaRue, Lisa Lynn Stacy, Denise Renee Stacy, and Danielle Evon (Jason) Delauder, all three of Marion; 28 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Bullion of Ashland, Ky. Three grandchildren, one great-grandson, five brothers, and six sisters are deceased.
Mr. Stacy was a machinist at Sycon Corp., and member of the Gephardt Enterprise Baptist Church.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 20,2005, at the Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, 130 Orton St., Marion. Minister will be the Rev. Fred L. Buckner. Burial will be held in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue.
