Pauline H. White


Pauline H. White, 93, of Richwood, died Monday, May 9,2005, at the Sterling House in Marion.
An Ohio Northern University graduate, she was a teacher with the North Union Schools, retiring in 1976. She was a lifetime member of Essex United Methodist Church, and a member of its women's society. She was a member of Carpe Diem, Fortnightly, the Rich-wood Civic Center where she served on the board of trustees, a member of the Union County and national Retired Teachers Associations, and a member of the former Jackson and Claibourne Granges and the Solitaires.
She was bom in Jackson Township, Union County, to the late Roy and Nellie Dale Roberts Hoffman. She also was preceded in death on April 6, 1976 by her husband, Donald E. White, whom she married May 30, 1937; and one sister. Elizabeth Sager.
She is survived by a sister, Marguerite Miller of LaRue; a brother, Harold Hoffman of Richwood; 14 nieces and nephews; 31 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 14 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, and one hour prior to the funeral service, which is set for Friday at 11 a.m. at Essex United Methodist Church. The Rev. Joseph Rhea will officiate.
Burial will be in Price Cemetery.
