Alfred E. Jividen


LARUE — Alfred E. Jividen, age 85, of LaRue, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 12:50 a.m. at Kingston Residence of Marion.
He was born Sept. 19,1919, in Putnam County, West Virginia, to the late Ernest and Edna (God-dard) Jividen.
On Oct. 30, 1941, he married Frances Rosebrough and she survives. Also surviving are  five daughters, Joyce (Robert) Everly of LaRue/Urbana, Mary (Dr. Otto) Howell of Marion, Gloria (Harold) Stiffler of Prospect, Sharon (Larry) Barnett of Prospect and Terry (Ronald) Phillips of LaRue; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Jividen of Florida; three sisters, Jerlene Rosebrough of Marion, Jean Armstrong of Wisconsin and June Takaki of Marion.
A daughter, Rebecca Mitchell, an infant son, three sisters, Nora Harrison, Mary Tol-ley and Ada Good, are deceased.
Mr. Jividen was a retired farmer, grew popcorn for Wyandot Popcorn, attended the LaRue United Methodist Church. He was a good neighbor, active in many community functions and always willing to help.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4,2005, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Edward W. Fugate. Burial in the Price Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
