John G. Ledley, 74, of Richwood died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at
Heartland of Marysville. He was a steelworker at Sycon Corporation and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 870 in Richwood. He was born Oct. 13, 1930, in Hardin County to the late Robert Andrew and Mildred Fern McFarlin Ledley and was predeceased by a sister, Betty Ledley. He married Cora Belle Huntsman Oct. 27, 1956, and she died Jan. 13, 2005. He is survived by his children, Donald (Cynthia) Ledley and Penny (Dave) Thomas of Marysville, Denny (Lora) Ledley and Leslie (Mike) Bond of Richwood and Jeff Ledley of Waldo; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert W. Ledley of Marion and Lauren Ledley of Ridgeway; three sisters, Evelyn Mabery of Richwood, Catherine Hoffman of DeGraff and Julia Below of Youngstown; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Scot Gorsuch will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery where VFW Post 870 will conduct military rites. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association. | |||
