Mabel Lorena Eastman

Mabel Lorena Eastman, 98, formerly of Richwood, died Monday, Sept. 27,
2004, at Heartland of Marysville.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She was born Sept. 18, 1906, in Union County to the late Levi and Mary
Etta Longberry Rockhold and was predeceased by a son, five brothers,
three sisters and two grandchildren. She married Mitchell Eastman Feb.
20, 1933, in Kentucky and he died Feb. 7, 1992.
She is survived by a son, Ronald L. Eastman of Mount Victory; eight
daughters, Betty Rea of Gahanna, Daisy Tevis of Rushsylvania, Mary
(Harold) McNeal, Susie (William) Bumgarner, Sally Mills and Patricia
Reid of Marysville and Shirley (Richard) Armstrong and Peggy Eastman of
West Mansfield; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard (Mary) Rockhold of York
Center; and three sisters, Hazel (Harold) Gardner of Westerville, Fannie
(Paul) Hoffman of Richwood and Florence Fisher of Venice, Fla.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the York
Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate. Friends may call from 10
to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to Union County Mobile Meals. Cards
will be available at the funeral home.
