Ila Gertrude Robinson


Ila Gertrude Robinson, 97, of Radnor died unexpectedly Monday, April 19,
2004, at her home.
She worked at Marion Steam Shovel for one and one-half years, Betty Zane
Popcorn Canner for five yeas and Universal Cooler for two and one-half
years. She also did housework and cared for the elderly. She was a
member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall West Congregation in
Delaware.
She was born Jan. 7, 1907, in Union County to the late George and Carrie
Thornburg Dunnan and was predeceased by three brothers; two sisters; her
first husband, Walter Wood; and her second husband, Paul McPeek. She
married Clyde "Robbie" Robinson Nov. 26, 1953, and he died Aug. 29,
1973.
She is survived by a son, George L. (Starling) Wood Sr. of Radnor; six
grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and
a sister, Martha Sweeney of Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ballinger
Funeral Home in Richwood. Brother Brendan Rocks will officiate and
burial will be at the Maskill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior
to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses in care of the
funeral home.
