Ray D. Standridge, 76, of Whittier, Calif., died at his residence
Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004. He was the founder and owner of Standridge Granite in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., until he sold the company and retired in 1993. He served in the U.S. Army. An avid hunter, he was a member of the Mecca Land Duck Club, National Rifle Association and Whittier Elks Lodge 1258. He was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Mena, Ark., to the late Wesley and Gussie Stipe Standridge and was predeceased by a son, Michael Standridge. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Mosher Dildine Standridge whom he married June 13, 1992; and a sister, Florece Walls of Taft, Calif. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Ballinger Funeral Home. The Rev. Bryan Lauzau will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 6. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Cancer Society, 532 Fairwood Drive, Marysville, or the American Cancer Society, P.O.
