Jerry M. Overfield, 68, of near Magnetic Springs died unexpectedly
Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at his home. He was a carpenter employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation and was an antique car collector. He was born June 5, 1935, in Mechanicsburg to the late Harry and Lucille Penyard Overfield and was predeceased by a brother. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Combs Overfield whom he married Jan. 12, 1957; two daughters, Peggy (Bryan) Allard of Richwood and Cindy Lee Overfield of Marysville; a son, Jerry Overfield of Marysville; three grandchildren, Angie, Jeremy and Eric, three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Charles Jr. and Savannah; two sisters, Lu and Violet; and two brothers, Charles and Larry. Funeral services were held today at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood with the Rev. Robert L. Jeffers officiating and burial was at the Hopewell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jerry M. Overfield Memorial Trust Fund to benefit his great-grandchildren. | |||
