Leona Lovey Brown | |||
Leona Lovey Brown, 84, of Richwood died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at the
OSU Medical Center. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of the Byhalia/York community. She was a lifetime member of McKendree United Methodist Church and was formerly active at Grace Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Navy Mothers Club, Richwood Civic Center and Richwood Garden Club. She was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Richwood to the late Elsworth and Mae E. Rosebrook Laughrey and was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Duncan; a sister, Bertha Cameron and four great-grandchildren. She married Ralph Brown March 1, 1939, in Kenton and he died Aug. 21, 1983. She is survived by three sons, Charles (Kathy) Brown of Willard, Ronald E. (Gay) Brown of Julian Calif., and Steve (Becky) Brown of Richwood; a daughter, Judy May (Lloyd) Collins of Montrose, Colo.; a son-in-law, Dave Duncan of Raymond; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Starling (Clifford) Gibson and Betty (Dick) Tevis of Richwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the York McKendree United Methodist Church in York Center and burial will be at the York Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. | |||
