Ivalou May Schmidt

LARUE — Ivalou May Schmidt, age 76, of LaRue, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at 1:10 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.
She was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Kenton, to the late Vernie and Verla (Dutton) Gamble.
On Oct. 31,1945, she married Raymond R Schmidt and he died Dec. 10,1992.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Ray (Linda) Schmidt of Monroe, Mich., and Douglas Eugene (Cassy) Schmidt of Quitman, Miss.; two grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn. (Don) Miller of Fremont. Two brothers, Lester and Robert Gamble, are deceased.
Mrs. Schmidt was a home-maker, member of the LaRue Mothers Club and dearly loved the Hoe-Down group from the restaurant in LaRue and they will provide the music at her funeral.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27,2004, at 2 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
Those who wish may make contributions to either the Quality of Life Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Chad Schmidt, Mike and Joey Sheffler, Gary and Dave Gamble, Don Wolf and John Cook.
