Jeffrey Starks

Jeffrey Starks, 46, of Raymond died Wednesday, July 14,2004, as a result of an accident while riding his bicycle in Marysville.
He was a home inspector, United Way Volunteer, member of the NAACP, ACLU representative and student at Marion Technical College. He had worked at the former Parker Hanifan plant in Green Camp.
He was born May 29, 1958, in Marion to Lee W. and Margaret L. Todd Starks and was predeceased by his father and two brothers, Gerald and Tommy.
He is survived by his wife, Lasonya Shaw-Burgess Starks whom he married Dec. 24, 1989; his mother of Raymond; two sons, Joshua Starks and Jeffrey Starks II; five daughters, Tamekia, Latavia, Ciera, Adelaide and Rebeckah Starks; three brothers, Lee A. Starks of Marion, Gregory L. Starks of Richwood and Teddy D. Starks of Columbus; a sister, Maxine Corley of Columbus; and two stepbrothers, Rick Williams and John Collins of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Lee A. Starks will officiate and burial will be at the York Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service.
