Ketha Mae Capell


LARUE — LARUE — Ketha Mae Capell, age 79, of 132 S. High St., LaRue, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at 5:15 p.m. at Marion General Hospital. The home she lived in has been in her family (Ridg-way) for 100 years.
She was born July 28, 1924, near LaRue, to the late Keith B. and Frances (Myers) Ridgway.
On Dec. 22,1946, she married Paul Capell Jr. and he died Nov. 24,1989.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey R. (Deborah) Capell of Fostoria; three daughters, Paula K. (Richard) Lusetti of Maineville, Tracy A. (Mark) Smith of Marion, and Heidi (Meade) Roberts of Belton, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John F. Ridgway of LaRue and Richard C. Ridgway of Fort Pierce, Fla. One brother, Robert Ridgway, is deceased.
Mrs. Capell graduated from the LaRue High School, was valedictorian of her class, graduated from Ohio Northern University, taught school at LaRue and New Bloomington, former director of CETA, 50-year member of the Mary Lenox Chapter 98 O.E.S., member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary. JAM. Club, Happy Tyme Club, Marion County and Ohio Genealogical Society's, Marion County and Ohio Historical Society's, Heritage Foundation and ran for Marion County treasurer in 1986.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. at the LaRue United Methodist Church. Minister will be the Rev. Edward W. Fugate. There will be no calling hours. The Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue is in charge of arrangements.
