Gerald L. Dysert


Gerald L. Dysert, 87, of rural Richwood died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Heartland of Marysville.
He was a retired farmer and a 1937 graduate of Byhalia High School. He was a member of the former Grace Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Community United Methodist Church in York Center. He enjoyed gardening, talking on CB radio and wintering in Florida.
He was born March 23 1917, in Union County to the late John Williard and Delphia Fields Dysert and was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Dysert; and a sister, Gertrude Gamble. He married Betty Shirk in 1940 and she died in 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma D. Marsh Dysert whom he married Sept. 8, 1950, in LaRue; a son, Larry (Janet) Dysert of Richwood; three grandchildren, Roger Dysert, Jeffrey Dysert and April Keiffer; and five great-grandchildren, Alicia Dysert, Kayla Dysert, Colton Dysert, Evan Keiffer and Jenna Keiffer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Roger Gordon will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
