Robert William Craig


TAMPA, Fla. — Robert William Craig, age 86, of Dade City, Fla., died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, Fla.
He was born Dec. 2,1917, in Grimms Landing, W.Va., to the late Ira and Myrtle (McCall) Craig.
He married Bessie Jordan and she died Jan. 5, 1982. On Dec. 3,1984, he married Eva Ed-dress Bohanan and she survives.
Also surviving are 14 nieces, five nephews, one stepnephew and three stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ace Craig, Chancey Craig and Charles Craig; and one sister, Wavie Wood.  
Mr. Craig was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the VFW, the DAV, the American Legion and the Moose Lodge, all in Florida. At one time, he owned and operated a Children's Day Care Center in New Mexico, a rest home in Missouri, and a tavern in Richwood. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
