Ernie Wasserbeck, 79, of rural Prospect died uesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Community Nursing enter in Marion after a two-month illness. He was a retired farmer and independent electri-an. A graduate of Richwood High School, he was c active and dedicated member of Emmanuel eformed Church near Green Camp where he has held various offices through the years. He was a l0-year member of the Essex Knights of Pythias Dodge, a former member of the Richwood School Board and a member of the former Union County Civil Defense. He ejoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors. He was born Aug. 13, 1924, in Jackson Township, Union County, ' the late Dan and Louie Butz Wasserbeck and was predeceased by brother, Joe Wasserbeck.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Ellen Imbody Wasserbeck horn he married Dec. 6, 1944; two daughters, Sharon (Marvin) ilbert of Marysville and Annie (Larry) Joseph of Prospect; two andsons,Jason Joseph and Brad (Tara) Gilbert; and a great-grand-son, Andrew Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. David Lippert will officiate id burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Reformed hurch, 4234 Green Camp Essex Road, Marion, OH 43302, or the Chapel Hill House, a log house that is used for helping children with cancer, at Kids 'N Kamp, 3340 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, H 43202.
