Francis Edward "Ed," "Smokey Joe" Hendrickson



Francis Edward "Ed," "Smokey Joe" Hendrickson, 80, of Richwood died Wednesday, Dec. 17,2003, at his home surrounded by his family.
He had worked as a mechanic, working on small engines at his former hop in Claibourne. He farmed for John Wiley and enjoyed arrowhead unting, trapping, coon hunting, fishing, auto racing, playing euchre and landing time on his CB radio. Family was very important to him and is grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mildred Wilson Hen-drickson and sisters and brother, Ruby Dowell, Hazel Evans and Donald (endrickson.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Sexton Hendrickson; children, Kenny Downing, Eddie (Dawn) Hendrickson, Kathy (Dean) Henderson and Kevin (Connie Taylor) Hendrickson of Richwood, Gary (Cheryl) [endrickson of Broadway, Terry (Denise) Hendrickson of Blanchester, Renee (Charlie) Crabtree and Juanita (Johnny) McLaughlin of Marysville and Vonda (Brad) Kempton of Prospect; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jeannie (Harold Smith and Ruth (Jack) Rouse of Richwood, Dorothy (Bob) Dever of Marion and Lucille (Glen) Carmen of Bucyrus; and a brother-in-law, Bob Evans of Richwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funer-I Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Snday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Loving Care Hospice in Marysville.
