Amos P. Kline Jr.


MARION — Amos P. Kline Jr., age 78, formerly of Marion, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at 10:02 a.m. at Community Healthcare Center in Marion.
He was born April 3,1925, in Pana, 111., to the late Amos G. and Laura (Eckart) Kline.
On April 24, 1949, he married Opal May Prosise and she died in March of 1985.
He is survived by one son, Michael A. (Paula) Kline of LaRue; one daughter, Kathy A. (Andy) Edens of Canal Winchester; six grandchildren; one brother, Charles (Doris) Kline of Maryland; one sister, Violet Weigel of Indianapolis., Three sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Kline was a retired manager at Wolohan Lumber, veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was of the Lutheran faith.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 26,2003, at 2 p.m. at the Agosta Cemetery in New Bloomington. Minister will be the Rev. Donald J. Riker. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday. There will also be graveside military rites conducted by the Marion Area United Veterans Council.
