MARION — Phyllis G. New-some, age 64, of 707 Somerlot Hoffman Road W., died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at 4:43 p.m. at Villa Angela Care Center in Columbus.
She was born Sept. 12,1938, in Union County, to the late Paul and Thelma Mae (Murphy) Gregory.
On Jan. 22,1962, she married Tolva C. Newsome and he died Nov. 26,1986.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a special friend and companion of 14 years, Michael Milar of Marion; one daughter, Diana L. McGuire of Marion and her special friend, Steve Vance; two grandsons, Darwin and Duran McGuire; two brothers, Norman (Betty Jane) Gregory of LaRue and Paul Wayne Gregory of New Bloomington; and sister, Janet (Eugene) Akers of New Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003, at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. CL. Fuqua. Burial in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5-8 p.m. today.
