VERA I. JONES
Vera I. Jones, 87, of Prospect died Sunday, Feb. 23,2003, at the Mapli wood Nursing Center in Marion. ;
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Prospect. A 1933 grad uate of Prospect High School, she was a lifetime member of the Prospec United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was.activ in the women's circle and other church activities. She was a member o the Prospect Community Chorus, Prospect Gardeners, O.C.C.L Prospect, Prospect Homemakers Club and Prospect Senior Citizens. Shi enjoyed her family, gardening and traveling.
She was born Sept.. 7. 1915, in Thompson Township, Delaware Coun ty, to the late William and May Hedges Knachel and was predeceased b; her twin sister. Vena Knachel. She married Robert E. Jones March 27. 1938. in Prospect and he died March 2. 2001. ;
She is survived by two daughters, Marian (Richard) Blair of Prosper and Ruby (Jon) Miller of Peoria, 111.; a son. Dale (Joyce Ann) Jones 6 Prospect; 10 grandchildren. Jon (Casey) Miller. Suzette Lester, KJrjt (Mark) Nichols, Chris (Tina) Jones, Teresa (Kenneth) Bevis, Tammis Ellet. Valinda (Bill) Klinger, Valarie (Doug) Gay. Vickey (Mike) MartiJ and Vera (Doug) Mitchell: 24 great-grandchildren: and two great-greaf grandchildren. "
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stofchecjj Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. David Hoffman will officiate ani burial will be at the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.ifj Tuesday. r
