Mabel Violet Miller



LARUE — Mabel Violet Miller, age 76, of 7540 Sager Road, LaRue, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at 1:05 p.m. at Community Healthcare Center in Marion.
She was born Oct. 14,1926, in Galion, to the late Boyd and Hazel (Hall) Sipes.
On Aug. 21,1965, she married James A. Miller and he survives.
Also surviving are three sons, James M. Baldwin of Upper  Sandusky,  David  A. (Barb) Baldwin of Bucyrus, and Jeff A. (Dawn) Miller of Rich-wood; two daughters, Ellen S. (Floyd) Penwell of Forest and Donna M. (Bob) Bender of Marion; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan (Marilyn) Sipes and Donald (Barb) Sipes both of Galion; and one sister, Evelyn Wiseman of Galion. One son, Larry Baldwin, one brother, Clarence Sipes and one sister, Ethel Polovich, are deceased.
Mrs. Miller was a homemak-er, worked as cook at Elgin High School for 14 years and there was a genuine mutual admiration society between her and the students. She was a member of the LaRue United Methodist Church and the Women's Club of the church. She loved her grandchildren, flowers and gardening. It was said that she made life as sweet as her meals.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1,2003, at 11 a.m. at the LaRue United Methodist Church. Minister will be the Rev. Edward W. Fugate. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
Those who wish may make contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
Pallbearers will be Floyd (Ed) Penwell, Andy Kaufman, Mike Fown, Johnathon Boles, David Baldwin Jr. and Robert Sayre.
