Lee C. Foreman, 78, of LaRue, formerly of Worthington, died Sunday, Jan.
5, 2003, at his home. He was retired after 40 years of service with Nationwide Insurance where he held various sales positions in South Carolina, Virginia, New York and Ohio and had received his Chartered Life Underwriter certification. He was a 1942 graduate of LaRue High School and had attended Bob Jones University and Furman University. He was an Army veteran of World War II and had attained the rank of lieutenant. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Marion and was formerly a member of the Mount View Baptist Church in Upper Arlington. He was active with the Ohio Baptist Convention and at the national level he served on the finance committee of the American Baptist Foundation. He was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Hardin County to the late Paul and Helen (Gantt) Foreman and was predeceased by two brothers, Lester and Lowell Foreman. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. Watkins Foreman whom he married June 30, 1949; five sons, Curt Foreman of LaRue, Mark (Denise) Foreman of Stockton, Calif., Paul Foreman of St. Louis, Mo., Eric (Sandra) Foreman of Hilliard and Todd (Christine) Foreman of Orlando, Fla.; beloved grandchildren, David, Matthew, Julie, Benjamin, Holly, Hope, Tess and Noah; a sister, Mary Jane Bauer of Canal Winchester; and a sister-in-law, Betty Foreman of Chicago. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Dr. Carl Brown will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery where veteran graveside services will be conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council.
