Edwin H. Wood
MARION — Edwin H. Wood, age 82, of 400 Delaware Ave., Marion, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Sept. 21,1920, in Richwood, to the late Willis D. and Lula (Chinowith) Wood.
On March 6,1943, he married Kathryn Drake and she died Dec. 1,1979.
He is survived by one son, Glenn E. (Joyce) Wood of New Bloomington; three grandchildren, Mark E. (Torey A.) Wood of New Bloomington, Rodney L. (Vicky) Wood of Marion and Robyn Bond of Delaware; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wesley (Elma) Wood of Rich-wood. Six brothers, Ralph. Raymond, Robert, Harold, Donald and Clarence are deceased.
Mr. Wood was retired from Whirlpool Corp. where he worked as a press operator.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Donald J. Riker. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
