Bonnie M. Cheney


Bonnie M. Cheney, 65, of Richwood died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Memorial Hospital of Union County after a brief illness.
She was a 1955 graduate of Richwood High School and had worked as an admissions clerk at Memorial Hospital for the last 15'A years. She enjoyed gospel music, especially the Gaithers, and enjoyed many Saturdays shopping with her daughter. The joy of her life was her grandchildren and all their activities.
She was born Aug. 26,1937, in Richwood to the late George E. and Nina Wurtsbaugh Kirby and was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Laveme E. Kirby, Leland A. Kirby, George "Jack" Kirby, Katherine E. Creech and Betty J. Kirby.
She is survived by a daughter, Tracey (Tim) Monroe of Richwood; a son, Robert E. Cheney of Richwood; six grandchildren, Chris, Brian and Steven Monroe and Kayla, Levi and Zachariah Cheney; and sisters and brothers, Marlene L. Mount and Kenneth "Pete" (Darlene) Kirby of Marion and Richard (Joan) Kirby of Richwood.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Revs. James Taylor and Jerry McQueen will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Cancer Society, 532 Fairwood Drive, Marysville.
