Alvin L. Lindley


Alvin L. Lindley, 71, of East Liberty, formerly of Tampa and Clearwater, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a elf-employed truck driver. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and vere animal lovers.
He was born May 11, 1931, in Prospect to the late Frank and ilanche Stoner Lindley and was predeceased by a brother, Leo .indley.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Haines Lindley whom he married June 30, 1956, at the Richwood First United Methodist church; two sisters, Irene (Eddie) Pendelton of Marengo and Vonie (Glen) Slemmons of Marion; two sisters-in-law, Helen Ballinger of East Liberty and Dorothy (Tom) Patterson of Rich-wood; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the tofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Danny Grose ill officiate and veterans services will be conducted following the funeral. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or charity of the donor's choice.
