Paul Foster Reebel


LARUE — Paul Foster Reebel, age 77, of LaRue, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, died Monday morning, July 15, 2002, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born March 4, 1925, in Jackson County, W. Va., to the late Lawrence E. and Vinnie (Miller) Reebel.
Paul was a retired farmer, having farrned with his father in both dairy and hog operations. He was also a paint repairman at the Whirlpool Corp. where he worked for 30 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, he served in the 637th Tank Destroyer Unit. He was also active with the 4-H serving as a 4-H advisor for many years.
On Aug. 26,1956, he married Yvonne (Miller) Haught and she died Nov. 25,1990.
He is survived by daughter, Kristy (Mike) Apt of Prospect; stepdaughter, Loretta (James) King of Marion; stepdaughters-in-law, June Haught of West Virginia and Nancy Haught of Florida. A son, Bruce Randolf Reebel, daughter Vera Kath-lene Parks and stepsons, Larry and Robert Haught preceded him in death.
Surviving are 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; sisters and brothers, Martha McFarland of Waldo, Roberta Banks of Arizona, Faye Saunders (deceased), Vera Campbell of California, Eloise Hughes (deceased), Lawrence "JR" Reebel of LaRue, Gail E. Reebel of Texas and Neason M. (Patty) Reebel of Prospect.
Funeral services wUl be held Thursday, July 18, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue where friends may call tonight from 6-8 p.m. Minister will be the Rev. Scot Gorsuch. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery where there will be veteran graveside services.
