Alice E. Spitzer


BELLEFONTAINE — Alice E. Spitzer, age 75, of Belle-fontaine, where she was living with her daughter, Shirley Ann Wantuck, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at 7 p.m. at Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born Dec. 11,1926, in LaRue, to the late Jeremiah and Eva (Dutton) Adams.
In 1944, she married Ernest J. Spitzer and he died in 1998.
Surviving is one son, Michael W. (Debbie) Spitzer of Clear-mont, Fla.; three daughters, Shirley Ann Wantuck of Belle-fontaine, Patricia Lynne Spitzer of Austin, Texas, and Cathy Jean (Michael) Litty of Elkhart, Ind.; six grandchildren, Michele Lea Youngblood, Jason Alan Wantuck, Nicole Marie and Regina Rae Litty, Daniel LeRoy and Shannon Elizabeth Spitzer; one great-grandson, Jack Alexander Youngblood; one brother, Jerry W. (Barb) Adams of LaRue and one sister, Joan (Dan) Miller of LaRue. She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Andrew Spitzer, one grandson, Brad Everett Wantuck, two brothers, Charles J. Adams and Alfred E. Adams and one sister, Norma J. Adams.
Mrs. Spitzer was a homemaker, graduated from LaRue High School in 1944 and was a former member of the Pythian Sisters of South Bend, Ind.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Deb Berry. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from noon until service time on Friday.
