Lou Victoria Wurtsbaugh


Lou Victoria Wurtsbaugh, 70, of Marion died peacefully in her home Wednesday, March 20, 2002, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was retired after 43 years as a nurse, serving her profession with great pride and compassion.
She was bora at home in Byhalia, Union County, Jan. 14, 1932, to the late Charles H. and Lida Vannausdle Smith and was the last sur-viving member  immediate family. She was predeceased by brothers John and Delmar Smith and sisters Gladys Lytle, Laberta D Blaine, Kathryn Wornstaff, Ethel Kaser and Patricia Wurtsbaugh.
her husband, Donald T. Wurtsbaugh whom she married June 10, 1988, in a private ceremony and who lives at the Sunbridge Care Center in Marion; a daughter, Leanna K. Mover (Mickey) Cereoli of Richwood; grandchildren, Casandra Kelson of Richwood, Donnie J. (Deanna) Tanner of Marion and Maria (Jeromey) Combs of North Lewisburg; great-grandsons, Christopher, Dakota, Clay, Hunterand Drake; great-granddaughters, Gloria, Molly, Sarilyn and Desiray; an aunt, Gladys Vannausdle Highland of Kenton; three generations of nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Wilda (Louis) Elliott of Richwood and June Henderson of the Sun-bridge Care Center; the best neighbors anyone ever had, David and Kathy Campbell and Kenny and Dorothy Webb of Marion; and will be greatly missed by her running buddy and special niece, Patty Henderson of Green Camp and good friend, Ella Gearhart of Nevada.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Cindy Peel of the Church of the Brethren will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Quality of Life Hospice, Parkinson's Society of Central Ohio or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
