Irene Georgia Pennington

WAUSEON — Irene Georgia Pennington, age 92, of 424 Potter St., Wauseon, formerly of Es-pyville, died Wednesday, Oct. 17,2001, at 9:40 p.m. at Heartland of Wauseon.
She was born Dec. 5,1908, in Portsmouth, to the late William and Carrie (Cassidy) Henderson.
She married William Jones in 1924 and he died in 1969. She later married Walter Pennington and he is deceased.
She was a homemaker, member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Powsville and a former member of the Rebecca Lodge of New Bloomington.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Betty (Fred) Gifford of Arcadia, Fla.„ Mrs. Helen (Odell) Daniel of Marion and Mrs. Violet (Gee) Guajardo of Wauseon; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Henderson of Lima, and one sister, Catherine Stevens of Lucasvilie.
One son, Earl Jones, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 22,2001, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Floyd F. Radebaugh. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
