Dorothy Bixler

Dorothy Bixler, 81, of Richwood died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at Carriage Court in Marysville.
She was a graduate of Richwood High School and a member of Mount Carmel Chapter 40 of the Order of the Eastern Star and Fulton Creek Friends Church. She enjoyed trap shooting with her husband and his friends and many times even beat them. She spent many hours refinishing furniture and doing upholstery.
She was born July 22, 1920, in Richwood to the late Ross Penrose and Reah Dale Chapman Wiley and was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Law-son. She married Alfred Bixler June 20, 1938, and he died July 26, 1995.
Graveside servicers will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Claibourne Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Fye will officiate. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.
