Irene Greenwood Bamber

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Word has been received of the death of Irene Greenwood Bamber, 88, at Bay Pointe Nursing Home in Virginia Beach, Va. on Aug. 18, 2001.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1913, to Jess and Nellie Typsword Greenwood, late of LaRue.
She is survived by one brother, Donald (Virginia) Greenwood of near LaRue; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Greenwood of Marion and Margie Greenwood of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews. Local nephews who survive are Larry Greenwood of Marion, and Douglas Greenwood of LaRue, and a niece, Mary Ann Phillips of Marion. She is preceded in death by seven brothers, Earl, Elmer, Orville, Harry, Carey, Robert and Delbert Greenwood and by two sisters, Lily Finn and Marie Schaller.
Funeral arrangements in Virginia Beach were by Kel-lum Funeral Home and locally by Stofcheck Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Frame Cemetery in Meeker at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, with the Rev. Tim Pasma officiating. Calling hours will not be observed.
