Dr. Linda Lee Buck


COLUMBUS — Dr. Linda Lee Buck, age 63, of 1050 Hardesty Place W., Columbus, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at 4:20 p.m. at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.
She was born May 16,1938, in Marion, to the late Ransom and Anna Lee (Winters) Buck.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Buck of Akron; a niece, Cheryl A. (David) Cuth-bert of Columbus; a nephew, John M. Buck of New Bloom-ington; cousins, Kay Ellen Shuster of Delaware and Robert Winters of Perrys-burg. One brother, Larry G. Buck, preceded her in death.
She attended Morral High School and graduated from Martin County High School in Stuart, Fla. She earned her bachelor of science degree in education at the Ohio State University, master of arts degree and her degree of doctor of philosophy were both earned at Ohio State University. She taught vocational and special education at the Columbus Public Schools, also taught at Columbus State Community College and was an adjunct professor at Ohio State University, member of the American Business Women's Association, Columbus Discovery Chapter, and numerous other vocational associations.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Burial in the Frame Cemetery in Meeker. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Capital Area Humane Society, or ABWA Columbus Discovery Chapter Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
