George A. Tron


MARION — George A. Tron, 89, of DeCliff-Big Island Road, Marion, died Monday afternoon at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born June 4, 1911, in Montgomery Township to the late Mike and Maude (Wood)Tron.
On Sept. 21, 1932, he married the former Iscah Lucille (Artz) and she died July 26, 1993.
He was a 1929 graduate of the Agosta High School, was a member of the New Bloom-ington United Methodist Church, and had worked as an electrician and farmer.
Surviving are one son, Douglas A. (Sonalee) Tron of Marysville, and one daughter, Janet (Joe) Prettyman of Meeker; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, where friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Minister will be the Rev. Donald J. Riker. Burial will be in the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
