Loren Charles Coy


LARUE — Loren Charles Coy, age 76, of 9733 Linwood Drive, LaRue, died 9:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 7, 1924, in Hardin County, to the late Everett Lee and Hazel (Durkin) Coy.
On Feb. 9,1948, he married Maxine E. Noel and she survives.
Also surviving is one son, John Charles Coy of LaRue; and one daughter, Patricia Ann (Robert) Bower of LaRue; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. One son, Thomas E. Coy, one daughter, Norma Jean Bower, grand-daughter, Christina E. Bower and two brothers, Paul Coy and Herbert Coy are deceased.
Mr. Coy was a self-employed farmer, worked for MCI as a farm manager and drove school bus for the LaRue Local Schools for about nine years, member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, Painter Creek Grange for 61 years, 1943 graduate of Mount Victory High School, Phillippi-Clement Post 101 American Legion and VFW Post 3333, Kenton. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during World War II.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12,2001, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Darlene Weidner. Burial the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday. There will be graveside military rites conducted by the Phillippi-Clement Post 101 American Legion of LaRue.
