Roland E. "Pete" Erwin

Roland E. "Pete" Erwin, 60, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. The former Richwood resident was a friendly, good-hearted person who enjoyed helping others - especially the people at Regent's Park Nursing Home and Deerwood Place Assisted Living Facility, where he worked.
The son of James Erwin and Helen Tanner May was born August 19, 1940. He married the former Sandra Pullins October 2, 1988.
Surviving are his mother of Richwood; his wife, of the Florida address; a son, Petie (Lisa) Erwin of Richwood; two daughters, Jodie Erwin of North Lewisburg and Gale (Mark) Boice of Jacksonville; five brothers, Jim Erwin, Jerry Erwin, Robert Erwin and Bob May; a sister, Pat Adams and 4 step-daughters and 7 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted by Tom Gwynn Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call at Stofcheck Funeral Home Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Regent's Park Activities Department in loving memory of Pete Erwin, 7130 Southside Blvd., Jacksonville, Fla. 32256.
