Gladys Thornburg

Gladys Thornburg, 65, of Richwood died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
She was a homemaker and a member of Advent Christian Church in Claibourne and the TOPS group in Richwood.
She was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Kentucky to the late Ed and Georgie Madden Buckler and was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. She married John Thornburg Feb. 13, 1959, in Claibourne and he died Nov. 1, 1992.
She is survived by a daughter, Alice (Rick) Cline of Marysville; a granddaughter, Danielle (Earl) Hall of Marysville; and a sister, Joan Plot of Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Dan Grose will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
