Gladys M. Williams


NEW BLOOMINGTON — Gladys M. Williams, age 78, of 255 1/2 N. Main St., New Bloomington, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000 at 6:15 a.m. at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
She was born Sept. 23, 1922, in Cherry Valley, Pa. to the late John and Laura (Jones) Orians.
In 1968 she married Charles Williams and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, William (Juanita) Spears of Jacksonville, Fla., Rick (Eva) Spears of Kenton; two daughters, Joey (Charles) Lester of New Bloomington, and LuAnn (David) Whitaker of Bluf fton; ten grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. One sister; Mildred Barton of Marion; three brothers William. Orians, Leroy Orians, Leo Orians, and three sisters; Hazel Belcher, Margaret Orians, and Rose Hazen are deceased.
Mrs. Williams was a factory worker and had worked at Kenton Molding Co., was a director of the Neighborhood Opportunity Center in Kenton, and was a member of the Womans Auxiliary of the
Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Russell Manns, burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday,  Those who wish may make  contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
