Lester G. Cochran


LARUE — Lester G. Cochran, age 89, of 376 Third St, LaRue, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at 10:20 p.m. at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
He was born March 6, 1911, in Philo, W.Va, to the late Herbert and Lula (Hill) Cochran.
On Dec. 22, 1945, he married Golda Kate Bond and she survives.
He is survived by two nieces, Becky Felty of LaRue and Cookie Howell of Palestine, Texas; one brother, Del-bert Cochran of LaRue; and two sisters, Helen Simpson of Buffalo, W.Va. and Reba Graham of Leon, W.Va. Two brothers, Pete Cochran and Kermit Cochran, and two sisters, Gathy Hill and Gladys Herdman are deceased.
Mr. Cochran was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from Laubis Elevator as a truck driver and has lived in the LaRue area for 48 years coming from Buffalo, W.Va.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery where graveside services will be conducted by the Phillippi-Clement Post 101 American Legion of LaRue. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
