Alva Green Rosebrough Jr.


Alva Green Rosebrough Jr., 79, of the Kingsville area died Oct. 2, 2000, at his residence.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired from the S.C.M. Plant in Ashtabula on June 1,1986, after many years of service. He had been previously associated with the Masonic Lodge in Ashtabula and was active with the Kingsville Public Library where he worked with the Friends of the Library. He was a talented artist and enjoyed woodworking, carving and gardening.
He was born- April 10, 1921, in Lawrence County to the late Alva Green and Lona Mae Stumbo Rosebrough Sr. and was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by three daughters, Jeannie Evans of Richwood, Vicki Cooper of Columbus and Tina Brewer of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Greg (Michelle) Evans, Carrie Evans, Jared Evans and Tara Biederman; two sisters, Gladys (Robert) Watkins of Marion and Frances (Alfred) Jividen of Richwood; a brother, Russell (Jeri) Rosebrough of Marion.
The Rev. Scof Gorsuch will officiate at private graveside services Saturday at the Price Cemetery where veterans services will be conducted by Richwood VFW Post 870 and American Legion Baccarat Post 40. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Rich-wood.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Guerriero Funeral Home in North Kingsville. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
