Betty Pauline Leeth


MARSEILLES — Betty Pauline Leeth, age 76, of 20173, State Highway 67, Marseilles, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at 8:23 p.m. at Baldwin Manor in Kenton, Ohio.
She was born Feb. 24,1924, in Hardin County, to the late Thomas and Bessie (Wells) Purcell.
On Aug. 24,1945, she married Hoyt Leeth Jr. and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Steven Hoyt (Sharon) Leeth of Marion and Gerry Gene (Carol) Leeth of Upper Sandusky; one daughter, Mrs. Pamela Kay (Lanny) Rapp of Marseilles; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Hazel Tow of Forest, Ida Palmer, Jane Hadding, Alice Jeannie Johnson; and one brother, Charles Purcell, all of Kenton.
She was preceded in death by one son, David Alan Leeth, four brothers, Harold, Paul, Kenneth and Robert Purcell and two sisters, Lena Harrison and Opal Baer.
Mrs. Leeth was a home-maker, worked for 10 years at the IGA in Marseilles, member of the Marseilles Presbyterian Church, former Rebecca Lodge of Marseilles and a graduate of Kenton High School.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 27,2000, at 2 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Rex Roth. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
