C. Dwight Minter


C. Dwight Minter, 80, of Richwood died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at  Grant Medical Center.
A graduate of Dola High School, he was involved with farming for more than 71 years and was president of The Minters Inc. He was an active mem-ber of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect, past president of the former Richwood School Board and a member and past president of the former Richwood Lions Club.
He was born Jan. 8, 1920, near Kenton to the late R.E. and Amy Martin Minter and was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Minter, and a grandson. He married Ruth A. Eibling March 1, 1941, at Dola Lutheran Church and she died Sept. 30,1998.
He is survived by six sons, Charles (Chong Hui) Minter of Richwood, William (Janice) Minter of Burlington, N.C., James (Gayle) Minter of Phoenix, Ariz., John Minter of Richwood, Dr. Richard (Pamela) Minter of Dublin and Steven Minter of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two daughters, Johnna Sue (Greg) "White of Hilliard and LuAnne (Carl) Davis of Richwood; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Vivian Eibling and Virginia (Andrew) Dirmeyer of Kenton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Stephen Bull will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Minter's sons and sons-in-law will be pall bearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a hospice organization of the donor^s choice.
