Emmett "Junior" Wurtsbaugh


Emmett "Junior" Wurtsbaugh, 74, of Richwood died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at his home.
He was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Richwood Civic Center.
He was born Oct. 25,1925, in the home in which he still lived and was predeceased by a brother, Robert, and a grandson. He married Patricia Ann Smith Wurtsbaugh Feb. 18, 1950, and she died Sept. 21, 1995.
He is survived by four sons, Rocky (Brenda) Wurtsbaugh and Junior (Sandy) Wurtsbaugh of Marysville, Gary (Peg) Wurtsbaugh of Richwood and Donny (Bernie) Wurtsbaugh of Delaware; a daughter, Clarice Ann (Ron) Phillips of Richwood; 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Lou) Wurtsbaugh of Marion; and two sisters, Wilda (Lewis) Elliott of Richwood and June Henderson of Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery where veterans graveside services will be conducted by the Richwood VFW and American Legion posts. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
