Robert G. "Bob" Mueck, 84, of Richwood died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at
Memorial Hospital of Union County. He was a farmer and a retired auto mechanic, having worked at the former Almendinger Chevrolet in Prospect and the former Gruber Reidenbaugh Pontiac dealership in Richwood. He was a 1935 graduate of Radnor High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a dedicated member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect where he served the church in several capacities. He was formerly a Boy Scout leader in the York/Byhalia area and was active with the Byhalia PTA and the York Grange. He was born July 14, 1916, in Marion County to the late Gustavus A. and Etta Mary Kibler Mueck and was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Mueck. He is survived by his wife, Louise Trapp Mueck whom he married Feb. 12, 1949; three sons, Jeff (Sylvia) Mueck of Mansfield, Tim Reibel Mueck of Richwood and Jay (Valerie) Mueck of Dayton; three daughters, Jacque Mueck of Columbus, Joyce (Darryl) McKitrick of Marysville and Judy Mueck of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Josh and Julie Mueck, Rita and Sean McKitrick, Olivia and Alexander Mueck and James Greer; and a sister, Lucille (Robert) Taylor of Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect. The Rev. Stephen Bull will officiate and burial will be at the Prospect Cemetery where veterans graveside services will be conducted by the Military Honor Guard of the Ohio National Guard.
