Ethyl E. Engle

Ethyl E. Engle, 84, of Cape Coral, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000.
She was a member of the Cape Coral First United Methodist Church and had lived in Cape Coral since 1974, when she and her husband moved there from Hicksville, N.Y.
She was born Feb. 2,1916, in the family home in Essex to the late William and Lucy Sparks Swartz and was predeceased by a brother, Claud Swartz and two sisters, Esther Young and Ethel Wasserbeck. She married Gail Engle Feb. 1,1936, in Richwood and he died Oct. 11, 1998.
She is survived by her loving children, Philip Engle of Freeport, N.Y, Jane Carpenter of Collierville, Tenn, and Diane Alenitsch of Cape Coral; five grandchildren, Allen Carpenter III, Thomas Carpenter, Karen Chaney, Philip Engle Jr. and Jason Engle; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Swartz of Richwood; and two sisters, Daisy Warner of Richwood and Christa Hast-edt of Florida.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Price Cemetery, with the Rev. Joseph Rhea officiating.
