Michael G. Tosco


Michael G. Tosco, 85, formerly of Richwood died Monday, Aug. 21,2000, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He had lived at Union Manor for several years.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and enjoyed farming.
He was born Feb. 21, 1915, in New York City, one of 12 children of the late Michael and Rosa Vizola Tosco and was predeceased by his wife, Alice Kathryn Bell Tosco.
He is survived by two sons, Michael G. (JoAnn) Tosco III and Robert T. (Tracey) Tosco of Richwood; two daughters, Sherry Hitt and her fiance, Fred Neiberger of Marysville and Lori (Tony) Sigrist of Richwood; 11 grandchildren, Michael Tosco IV, Kimberly Sue Tosco, Bobby Tosco, Brandy Beecham, Blake Tosco, Tammy Hitt, Susan Sigrist, David Sigrist, Stacy Sigrist, Stephanie Sigrist and Shannon Sigrist; three step-grandchildren, Adam, Shawn and Courtney Davis; four great-grandchildren, Taylor McKenzie, Brittany, Devin and Michael.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, where graveside services will be held. Friends may call from 6.p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Manor activity fund in care of the funeral home.
